Classical homeopathy is an holistic way of healing. The basic principals have been written down and applied systematically by Samuel Hahneman 200 years ago. The two most important principals are the holistic principal and the similimum principal.
The holistic principal implies that an illness is a disturbance of the entire organism on a dynamic or vital level, in other words, on a non-material level. As such, healing can only take place on the same non-material level, with remedies that have the power to work on this level. These homeopathic remedies are created by repetitional diluting and succussing of material substances. Dilution in such a degree that there are almost no material traces from the original substance left, but that the energetic power will become the more available.
The second principal is the similimum pricipal or “like cures like”. This implies that remedies that can induce in healthy people, after repetitional intake, a remedy picture, have the ability to cure the same remedy picture in ill people. This means that we have to investigate the totality of all the symptoms to be able to give the remedy that has the most similar remedy picture during provings. As such, we never treat lokal symptoms separatly but we treat the changed diseased state of the patient, including his mental emotional state of being. As such the classical homeopathic treatment implies a totally different way of looking at the phenomena of health and disease.
